My practice and Training

I work in private practice offering regular Psychodrama groups and individual counselling and psychotherapy sessions in Glasgow and online. I am a convert to online working, having embraced this way of working during the pandemic. I am a clinical supervisor having completed a certificate in creative supervision with Jenny Biancardi prior to going on maternity leave in 2022 and I am on the BPA list of accredited supervisors. I am a senior trainer at Psychodrama Scotland which is an organisation established in 2023 offering regular psychodrama experiential training weekend which I have set up with my friend and colleague, Emma Hagen.

I am a Psychodrama Psychotherapist who is accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a member of the British Psychodrama Association (BPA). I am a Certified Cyber Therapist, trained by the Online Therapy Institute to offer high quality, ethical online and telephone therapy. I abide by the code of ethics of the BPA and UKCP and my training was underpinned by a person-centred approach.

Other Psychodrama related activities

I sat on the the British Psychodrama Association executive and the board of trustees of the Michael Watson Trust from 2019-2021. As a BPA executive, I led the website committee as well as co-chairing the 2021 online festival committee. I love all things Psychodrama and thoroughly enjoys being part of the psychodrama community both in the UK and internationally. I relish the opportunity of introducing new people to power of psychodrama and related methods. I continue to sit on the BPA’s training and accreditation committee (TAC) although I do that at a distance due to family commitments.

Background and personal life

As well as studying languages, I have a background in social care, working with those affected by trauma and homelessness. I worked for around a decade with those affected by trauma and abuse and that taught me how to apply my methods in a consensual way to work safely while allowing for creative exploration. I have worked extensively with adults dealing with a range of mild to moderate mental health issues and I have experience working therapeutically with children, young people and their families.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, particularly spending time in nature. I am a keen gardener and I’m learning how to grow my own food. I love house plants a little too much. I also love to cook and to share tasty meals with friends and family. I love yoga and I’m continuing to try to develop a sustainable practice.
