Welcome to Therapy 101

I am a Psychodrama Psychotherapist and a Certified Cyber Therapist offering counselling and psychotherapy in Glasgow and online. Psychodrama is a powerful form of creative psychotherapy and I adapt my approach to meet your needs.

I work with therapeutic intent in a creative and gentle way to build trust and understanding. I am an empathic, enthusiastic and intuitive practitioner who will work at your pace to identify and explore your issues. My sessions are an experience of co-creative therapy, working alongside you to facilitate what needs to happen.

I am very comfortable offering talking therapy which pays attention to the non-verbal and the wisdom of the body. Where words are not enough and you would prefer an embodied approach, I employ creative action methods to deepen your connection with yourself, others and the bigger picture.

People come to counselling and therapy for a wide range of reasons. You may feel stuck or feel the need to make a change. Perhaps you may want to explore something that has happened in your life, or you may need to do something that is just for you. Or you may not know exactly what you need but you know something in your life is out of balance. I will work with you to help you better understand yourself and your needs by providing a non-judgemental, confidential space.

I work out of my own home in Glasgow and I have a space in Pollok Park known as the Snug as part of Southside Counselling and Therapy Centre.

Psychodrama and Creative Action Methods can be helpful with a wide range of issues. I will work with you as a whole person, rather than treating a specific mental health issue or condition. However, it may be helpful to know that I have experience working with people who have come to therapy with the following issues*:

*This list is not exhaustive but rather offers a flavour of my experience

Psychodrama can be an opportunity for you to consider the roles you take on in your life, find ways to try out new roles, shed or change the ones that are no longer useful. Psychodrama can be used to bring out your internal world and experience it from a different perspective.
